Couple photos of early Ukrainian volunteers that i've picked up in last few months:
1941 - Soviet uniforms, with armbands and some tresse around the collars to indicate the ranks.
1942 - some chevrons and cockades begin to appear, volunteers are also issued with captured stocks uniforms from other countries ie. Latvia.
1943 - Galicia division Flack training. Issued standard Waffen SS unfiorms and equipment.

These photos have actually been posted before, but still , very interesting to see a volunteer shield on a tanker uniform - I can never figure it out, as Turkistan legion did not have any tanks attached to it. In any case, both persons are not volunteers, but german cadre attached to the legion.
