Here are 2 cossack photos. I have posted these on another forum some time ago, but thought that this would be the best place to share them,

Here an picture offered on the estand as a rare Indian Legion Picture. Personally i don't see anything that indicates this are soldiers from the Indian Legion. To be honest the MG crew doesn't look Indian to me. Looks like something is written on the back like Italiener which makes more sense. Could be Italian soldiers wearing tropical cloth, sun browned imho as well. Difficult to say. Great picture though

I think the photo was labled as 'indian' because the side cap is all bent and looks like a turban. The writing probably says 'italien' as location and not nationality.

Ok. So it could be germans wearing tropical cloth and tropical sidecaps, operating in Italy. Perhaps they got a bit of brown skin from the sun. Did the Indian Legion fought in Italy?

Big chance they probably are. It has been marked sold now. As long as the buyer is happy, that's what counts. So in this case buy the story with the item i guess

Hey, Tommy. My guess is German cadre for the Azeri Legion. Shoulder board piping isn't yellow (though black and white, the color is clearly darker, so possibly green for the Azeris). Nor does the individual appear to have Caucasian features. Those would be my guess. Great pic, though!
