Hi Manuel,
Due to this pic it is difficult to recognize who is it, but due to the military insignia of major or colonel. According to all RK it is possible to make a list in order to know who is it.

thanks for your help!!!!!! I bought an excellent lot from this rk with lots of tanks and him in his halftrack.there is no more info.all the symbols are from the 23pzdiv. thanks manuel

Have you a pic, where RK is placed in front of mechanics with symbols are from the 23 PzDiv?
I’m not sure that it is RK from 23 PzDiv in the pic. I’ not sure because of:
All parts of military insignia says that this pic was made no later than summer 1943
And I can also see that it is RK oberstleutnant or generalleutnant. There were only these ranks in that time around RK23 PzDiv:

It is possible that this pic was made in autumn 1943.
But this fact denys our knowledge of uniform, even the summer 1943 seems not real.
But still I can give you the list of those who might have became RK in september1943:
17.09.1943 Schägger, Peter, Major d. R., Kdr. PzAA. 23 (t 15.11.1943).
27.09.1943 Sander, Joachim, Oberstleutnant, Kdr. PzRgt. 23.
Officers are weared not uniform of panzer waffen.

symbols.I found also a couple of vehicles from the 25 pz grenadiere div.I will post also a photo. but 80 % of the photos are from the 23pzd .so I think he is from this div.
perhaps they found each others somewhere in the dnjper?? nice lot to investigate! this is what makes collecting so interesting .I hope more of the members get into this one!!!!

This is rather a famous story. Even the good old original <i>Panzer-Colors</i> (p.55) shows them.

Too bad you don't have <i>Rebentisch</i>...

This guy is really a mistery
From both photos posted, the pic was undoubtly taken in srping/summer (see trees' leaves). From uniforms, I would say this was taken either in 1942 (preferred) or in 1943 (possible). All soldiers wear the enlisted cap and no E-Feldmütze (so called M-43) is seen. So the unidentified (yet) KC holder would have been awarded the RK BEFORE spring/summer 42 or spring/summer 43. Roman made a good job in listing RKT belonging to the 23. Pz. Div. Here is my list from which several ones were excluded (mainly due to the fact they were awarded the KC as NCO or enlisted men or reach a rank below Major).
As you will see, none of them strictly matchs with the above mentioned criteria.
