Fritz Wachtler MeinKampf
Greg,
Thanks for the responce. I`m new to the forum and pretty much all thumbs when it comes to the computer stuff but hope to be able to load pics soon. I do have a example of Fritz Wachtlers handwriting and its almost identical. The age of the ink also seems period. The dealer I got it from is an A-OK guy I`ve known for years, and trust him 100% so I`m confident its the real thing.

He was an early member of the NSDAP, Minister of the Interior for Thuringia, a Gauleiter and a SS-Obergruppenführer. Quite important high ranking posts I think.

Max,
Yes, Wachtler was not a common figure, but I was thinking of the selling value. Unless a collector is particularly interested in Wachtler personally, his role in Nazi education, etc., I don't think his signature and writing in the book would add a large amount to the value.
Best,
Greg

While not great, the books appears to be in reasonable shape. The signatures differ quite significantly. Maybe they are too many years apart. Would be helpful if someone had more samples.
Here is one from his book 'Deutsche fern der Heimat', dated 1938.

Regarding the value, Weitze has had a Vol. II first edition like this one on his site for several months at EUR 450 that hasn't sold. Again, not taking the signature into account. I'm not trying to say that the signature isn't authentic or Wächtler wasn't an important figure, just that I think it would take a specialized buyer to offer much more for the book based on the signature.
Best,
Greg
