Roger Bender has been working on one for years but has been holding out for some of the cards he does not have pictures of.

Ritterkreuz Panzer man Fessmann

Hallo members!
Help would be appreciated concerning the value of the postcard I have of Hauptmann Fritz Fessmann. He wears the Ritterkreuz with Eichenlaubs.
Normally I know postcards of the 'average' panzer men go for about the £10.00 mark, - is this one worth more?
It's a slightly 'oversize' card (14.7 x 10.5 cms) and has a very slight surface crease top left corner. Apart from that it is unused and is in very good condition. As far as I know it isn't a Hoffmann card as it does not bear the Hoffmann name on the reverse.

These type of cards sell in the 20€ - 30€ range, but the corner crease on this example will adversely affect its value.

Indeed, he's using his right hand in the photo. By the end of the war, his other arm- the left arm- was made totally useless by Parkinson's Disease.
Obviously Hoffmann had a crystal ball.

Funny that Hitler chose to use a stack of this particular postcard to sign autographs... with his good hand of course.

Nr. 355b is assigned to Grossadmiral Dr. h.c. Raeder. This suppose that there would also be a Nr355 and a 355a which would both show Raeder.

Here is a scan of 355b

355a shows Raeder as a General Admiral instead of a Grossadmiral... and he's not wearing the hat.

Speaking of Hoffmann Raeder cards, does anybody know what the "B" in this card number B.2 stands for?... or what year it might have been published?

Just found this "old" thread. Very informative.
I'm wondering if these 2 postcards come from the same serie?
All the numbers i saw in this thread start with the letter R and these cards have the letter F.

Can somebody help me please?

The series you pictured is not published by Hoffmann, but rather by the "Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland" or VDA. Most of the cards published by the VDA are of artist drawn works, such as the very popular "E" Series by Wolfgang Willrich with which we are all familiar. However, the VDA also published photo based cards such as these. I have a few examples featuring Luftwaffe aces in my colection.
