    Good point, maybe they mistook T.E. (Theodore Eicke) for Tiger. E. or do the dates make that improbable?

          it is all guesswork really. That is why collectors should always give things a thorough going-over before buying them. You have to be 100% clear in your mind.
          Nothing worse than forever have doubts about an item in your collection. It takes all the enjoyment away.

            In this case it would be impossible to know why some doofus screwed up this guy's unit so royally on the WB in silver doc. In fact, in a way i think it's actually it's a good sign as to the authenticity of the group as a whole.

              I purchased this set about 10 years ago and feel as good about them today as I did then. Having said that, I did try in vain to find out anything about "Tiger" "E" and now we see why.....thanks again.
