    Here is something different.

Does anyone have photos of the Ordnungspolizei? If you have them let us have a look!

Here is the only one I own! I would like to see more.

            Hello Rexmundi

The photo with the train is from the Polizei Battaljon 63. They were transferred to Marseille on the 9/10 december 1942. This is one photo of four, which are partly dated. Another photo states: Ankunft in Marseille 11 december 1942. What is interesting, but what can not be seen on the scan, is that on the wagon of the train the word "Nederland" is recognizeble. The 4 photo's of this train comes from a lager lot of 78 photo's. The photo's are from Essen (training), Holland en France. Period: 1938-1943/44

The photo were they are wearing the Zeltbahne, is not written on the back, but comes from a lot of 13 photo's. Some of these photo's are written on the back: Holland 1942. On the photo you can clearly see that this is a Dutch building. I think probably somewhere in Overijssel or Gelderland, but this is speculation.

            Necker.

I guess the Ordnungspolizei only took 4 photos between 1933 and 1945...

Nice shots Larrister - the guy in the middle looks like he's wet himself in the first photo you posted lol

                        Larry,

                        Great Photos! Very clear.

The first looks like an auto accident with a victim that did not make it. The second looks like another accident. Are these from an album and same officers?

Also - Is there anyway to determine what city/region a Police Officer is from on the uniform?

                        Mark

It does look like he's wet his pants. The photo is from a set of three showing a Tatra staff car that has rolled into a ditch and killed an officer.
The other two show another view of the body, Polizei helmets, a bayonet, cap, belt, rifle lying on the ground beside the car. They probably belonged to the unfortunate officer.

                          Mark

The photo is one of two that I have in my collection showing the same accident.
I bought the two photos from two different sources.
The wrecked Horch 500 B Pullman Cabriolet has Berlin plates.
Two of the Polizei officers have cuff titles on their sleeve.

                          Cheers
                          Larry

I'm sure everyone knows this, but just for the record, the "wet pants look" is the leather insert worn by some cavalry troops.

Polizei is interesting for interesting uniforms, but not my area... Still, I buy something when "my region" is found.

From an album in my collection:
