Here are a few loose photos that I found mixed in with some LWFD photos I recently picked up at the SOS.

Is she actually a Helferin, or is this one of those photos of a wife/girlfriend? Her blouse doesn't look regulation and those jackboots look very snazzy for an "ordinary" Helferin...

Flakhelferin wore a mixture of uniforms like the men....I think you are referring to photos of women dressed up in the mens uniform at home.....this sure doesn't look like that kind of situation....so lets say only her and the photographer know for sure. - Bill

I agree with Bill. Helferin were given a lot of latitude in clothing. Anything from regulation uniform to civilian clothing was worn. The women in this pic seems to be wearing the standard skirt for the blue grey costume and a male work jacket. There are pictures of helferin wearing male tunics. Don't look like military boots (or she got the whole spit shining procedure down), but civilian footwear was common. It could be staged but I think its just another example of helferins "doing their own thing". Many thanks for your opinions on this photo. I was just curious, because someone said that an earlier photo in this thread (a group of 4 or 5 women in greatcoats and boots) showed a group of girlfriends wearing men's uniforms. They looked pretty authentic to me, since they were also wearing white blouses and dark ties underneath, but I'm no expert.

Find it strange that no one have comented the photo I posted, the red cross sister with SS-arm eagle, "Wiking" cuff and EKII ribbon

Hi Øyvind, I must have missed seeing that one

Very interesting photo! What is the story behind it?

                              Cheers, Ade.
