You are right. That must be the unit sign of a technical unit. But I think it is not of a German unit, but of a French one. And this must be a French truck, have a look on the license number. Maybe captured by the Germans. Or is this a pic with French soldiers and civilians?

And you are right too!
This is indeed not an German truck or used as " Beute " truck.
This must be a sign from a possible Frence / Belgium or even Britisch unit.
There are only German soldiers to see but in the picture also more left behind and / or captured Allied equipment.

11 Pz.Div. unknown emblems

This is clearly a panzer belonging to that Panzer division, but what about the white horse?



And this is a capture of the surrender of the 11th Panzer Division at the end of the war
This emblem it´s on a Grille 38 M, also the emblem is depicted on the frontal of a Sd.Kfz. 251/1 D.
I guess that is a kind of big cat jumping a G or S gothic character.
If I know that the vehicles belong to the 11 Pz.Div. I don´t know to which unit belongs this symbol.

Hello all,

I need some help identifying this unit sign.
This unit is pictured in Belgium or France during the Westfront campaign in 1940.
Looks like a transport unit?
In other pictures they load out horses.......

Hi Aru-Ed,

the "marking" belongs to the Reichsbahn-Kolonne 933 .
The number "16" is the consecutive numbering of the vehicles of the Kolonne.


The unit was mobilized/build 1939 with material and personnel of the "Reichsbahn Kraftverkehr"

Hell all,
I am having trouble getting identification of several markings/emblems, I am hoping contributors to this thread will be able to help.
First are two photos of the same emblem, on Scammells and on what I believe are Ford 917 tow-trucks.
The emblem is of a seated vulture.

Lastly I have a Packard with multiple markings including a bunch of flowers, or maybe an explosion, on the door. The tactical markings are also interesting. The Chrysler(?) behind also has the same emblem on the door, but it is harder to see.

Kerry, that is certainly the oddest Pionier tactical marking that I have ever seen.
