Here are some examples of death cards on Luxembourgers who were conscripted/drafted into the German Army. Most death cards did not have them in uniform nor the Iron Cross symbol as previously stated conscription was not popular but I'm sure there were volunteers as well. A Luxembourg Legion was not organized as it was with the Belgian, Dutch, French & others. Germany incorporated Luxembourg into the Third Reich under Gau Moselland thus it started the drafting and conscription of Luxembourgers. By the way all are from the same village of Esch-Alz. Todd....I have better ones on the way but I will post some of the lesser quality pics that I have. You beat me to my posting of death cards on Luxembourgers conscripted into the German Army. I spent a lot of time in Luxembourg as I had/have a high interest in the Battle of the Bulge. I did a lot of battlefield searches and with friends picked up many barn finds from farmers.
