Here's a nice close up of a soldier. Unfortunately, I don't know where it was taken. Still a nice close up.

The Armshield is the Demjansk shield. If anything you can tell by how wide the shield is in comparison to the Narvik shield.

If I'm reading it right the sign says "The climbing or boarding of the benches is forbidden". Abstellung beim....literal translation "putting down by"

It's a matter of whether Kavallerie were involved in the invasion of Narvik...which I don't think they were so more than likely a Kav unit was in Demjansk.

I still have a lot of Portraits to post and to scan from Flonheim Oct 08, Dec 08 , Jan 09, Reichertshofen Jan09 and now Feb09 as I try to distribute and spread them out. Plus a large stack (at bottom of this pic) of LW portraits I pulled out of my photo holders. I do have many more that I haven't pulled out of my photo holders to post.
