Thanks now all we have to find out is what units where in that area in July 1944. Good research project if I ever find the time to do it.

This are the unit that were in Montecatini (In Tuscany)
There is another Montecatini in Emilia Romagna, but I have only the information on the Montecatini city in Tuscany.

Great Information on the units that were in the Montecatini area. I think maybe only two units on that list maybe a possible match. 3 PGD Grenadier Regt 8 (mot) or Panzer Abteilung 504
