Hi not sure what schmiss is. I was told by the seller that the scars were probably from shrapnel. Then again, they could be dueling scars for all I know.

Bill Petz in hospital

Bill started this thread quite a while ago as well as many others and I was just informed by his son that he had a heart attack in Rotterdam before he was able to return to Corpus Christi. I called him and he is recovering well but it looks like he will be in Rotterdam for a good month or so recovering. Please wish Bill a good recovery. Jim (PzV)

Thanks for the E Mail. I'm certainly glad that Bills recovering okay. It was certainly a close call. I sent an E Mail to Christopher which I'm sure will make its way to Bill. Jim

VERY sorry to hear this! I am sure all of us hope that Bill is back at his post soon.

I had a long talk with Bill yesterday and he sounded good but will have to remain in the hospital for a good month and has another operation which is planned, but I am sure that we will be seeing and hearing from Bill. He is unfortunately cut-off from his computer as his household goods are on the way back to the states and he is still in Rotterdam!
