Maybe the Jersey photo was taken in "hard time" when Allied blockade is happening (June 1944 til the end of war). the soldiers look so skinny!

yeah, you are right about that. Every single one looks malnourished!

Nice photos and thanks for sharing them with us.

Bill T & Raphael - I personally haven't seen any photos previously taken by German troops on the Island of Jersey after the Normany Invasion. I believe I did see some Soldbuchs/Wehrpasses posted on WAF pertaining to Soldiers who served on Jersey. The photos I posted are dated between July & August 1944. The occupation troops there were isolated and cut off until they surrendered on 9 May 1945. No doubt the soldiers and British subjects on the Island were definitely short of rations during that time.
