He's not even listed on the German war graves database. The only thing that can be said is that he belonged to the infantry branch of service.

It’s a really nice unusual piece! I’ve never seen anything like it before. Because of its size and rustic construction I imagine it was made by a family member or fellow soldier and having pride of place behind a bar.

Or not as romantic but maybe a little chapel.
