Till december 1944 there was, near to Emden, a 'konzentrationslager' called ENGERHAFE. It was managed by SS oberscharfuhrer Erwin Seifert, together with guards from the SS-TotenkopfverbÀnden. So not the SS guys you are looking for.

About the last days in the ostfriesland sector, there is a very interesting text on the internet. It speaks also about kampfgruppen in the last days of the reich. For your area of interest the kampfgruppe GERICKE is interesting. Especially the subunit 'Regiment KERSSENBROCK'. This regiment containing kriegsmarine soldiers, recovering wouded soldiers (maybe SS soldiers also????), soldiers who had leave permission, scattered soldiers (maybe SS soldies also????) etc.

Here the link to the text:

      Hi Oberst.
Thank you very much for your info.
Considering all, the hypothesis of the KZ Engerhafe might be really true. the location was extremely near Emden.. Here there were surely SS men.
After its dissolution in december 1944, all were transferred to Neuengamme, till the arrival of British troops in 1945. So also the "link" with british troops is ok..

Where can I find a list of SS soldiers who served in this camp? Anyone is able to help me?
I tried to effect a research, but without success. No list of soldiers in Engerhafe camp is available..

      Thank you!
