    Research Luftwaffe (plane) casualties Maastricht

I'm putting together a complete list of all the planes (Allied and German) that went down in or near Maastricht (The Netherlands) during the war.

There is some information spread over the internet regarding some of the planes and crew. But especially information regarding the German planes and crew isn't easy to find. Are there, like the macr for USAAF, reports of the german planes that went down during the war and if so were can you find these.

I'm looking for any information, reports, documents or photos of the following planes.

    Ei44, (Y-44)

No idea if you have these books yourself or did read them, but most the aircrafts in your list are mentioned in detail in the book "Duel in de wolken" by Ron Pütz (in Dutch).
Extra information on the 1-1-1945 aircraft can be found in detail in the book
"Bodenplatte" by John Manrho and Ron Pütz (in English).

    Good luck with your research.

    Best regards

          Hi,

          I did mention two books.

The two books mentioned by Gerdan are a great source too to start your research with, although not that detailed as the two I did mention.

You can also visit "Nederlands Instituut voor Militaire Historie" / Ministerie van Defensie" in Den Haag, as they do have the (expensive) Zwanenburg books (and many other publications, documents, photos and files) there too.

Did you try your luck on 12 O'Clock High! ?

Many Dutch are there active, including, researchers, historians and authors.
