It is not at all correct to say that the lack of a tic mark next to the Totenkopfring on a Führerkarte means the person did not receive a Totenkopfring. I have seen plenty of examples to the contrary. One such example is that of SS-Obersturmbannführer Eugen Schlotter. No tic mark next to the ring on his Führerkarte, yet I have his ring right here with a date of 20.4.37 and he gave it to me himself! You can see the ring and read more about Schlotter here-

Notice that Otto and Richard are shown as having the rings, while Lothar is not. See John's post #17.

I also found Dr. Theo REICHERT and Walter REICHERT.

I only found one entry for Richard within the 1 Juli 44 DAL. You'll have to check the other lists.

Can you identify the date of the ring? Or post some images so we can see what we are working on?
