          Hi Ray,

The rivets are definitely wrong. The hardware also looks very suspicious, but too blurry to see the details. The details of the eagle are also very weak on the obverse, and that is a classic sign of B&NL fakes.

It may be a very worn original that has been repaired with new rivets, or it is a complete fake. Better pics will tell us for sure which it is.

I wouldnt be happy with this one, simply something doesnt seem right. Eagle and wreath looking bad to me, lacking in details, rivets are quite strange, if you already have bought this badge you should return it, otherwise pass on this one.
                Best regards,
                Franko

                      Hi Ray,

I cannot imagine a "respected" collector saying these rivets are good in the other forums. Anyone remotely knowledgable about how original B&NL ROAG badges look like and how they were constructed should be able to tell these rivets are not correct. You should never see the rivets through the front of the eagle! Any collector that says this is original and 100% correct doesn't know what they are talking about.

Feel free to post this link to the German Forum.

Tom was faster than me... what he pointed out is clearly new rivets and it is never there with BNL.
