please show closups of pin and catch- it is a Schickle design badge- looks good so far- the line down the middle was probably done to do the cut outs- very interesting

actually its not Schickle- close but not-back is quite muddy- need to do some digging then will come back

Otto Schickle, what do you base that on?

Can you expand on this - how the die-stamped voids would cause a raised/recessed line down the center?

Well he backed off the Schickle comment which was way off base.

The line down the middle is odd. I do see it on the reverse. Just to left of pin.

IMO this badge is an original period piece. The giveaway on these is the missing metal on the top of the main gun which when looked at from the reverse can be seen. Not from the front but always recognizable from the back. I will say that the Wiedmann style catch plate is what you normally find on these but the last one I had, had a hinge plate like this one too.

I have owned three of these in the past and always done well with them.

Hello, thank you very much for your response. The seller wants 6000 euros, which would be a reasonable price to offer? thanks.

I can match mine exactly to the Otto Schickle catalog page, are you sure you want to pay that much until you know exactly what you have? Maybe someone will point to a catalog on this or something to be absolutely sure for you.

While I can not comment on the originality of the pictured piece, prices that I have seen for LC Tank badges are around 6000-6500 Euro for the Spanish/Portuguese manufactured version. IMO the Spanish/Portuguese version would be rarer, more desirable and hence cost more than one of the TR manufactured pieces. Just my opinion though.
