Yeah, it's like every repair you ever see is always explained away as wartime done. Hilarious.

This clasp has now been inspected by an experienced long time collector IRL and is now sold. Just for your information

There are many clasps in collections and currently on the market which can be seen utilizing such crude "field" like methods to attach the pendants. While Rich is technically correct that these/this could have been applied post war, I believe most collectors accept this/these type of attachment method(s) as period original. As with all pieces, close examination is warranted. Even a clasp with the "proper" attachment method can be done post war.

I would have no issues with this piece in my collection and am envious of the new owner.

Thanks Gary! I agree, and I had never bought it at all, in the first place, if I didn´t believe in it, as I always – ALWAYS! – buy things for my own collection, and not to sell, to make profit. Sometimes, after some time, perhaps I get tired, and want to change direction. Then I sell. But I never try to sell anything that I don´t believe in. I have been ****ed pretty hard a couple of times, but that does not mean I do the same thing.
