Hi Guys
I found on a site and ,I would like to ask your opinion about " AG badge " before buying, the price seems right , what is your opinion good or bad?
and how much is it worth ?

Hello Sanya,

IMO the badge is very questionable. It does look good in some respects: The wreath, for instance, does appear to be a Deumer wreath. (The rivets look pretty good too.) However, I think it could be a casting of a Deumer wreath and the hardware is not looking quite correct either. The pin is definitely not correct for Deumer, although there is always a chance it is a replacement. But the eagle does not look like an original Deumer eagle to me. So, taken as a whole, the badge is very questionable, at best, and likely a fake. Better, straight-on shots of the front and reverse, some closeups of the hardware & maker mark, and measurements would all be a big help in getting a more definite opinion about this badge.

Even if we assume that the badge that started this thread was an original Air Gunner/Radio Operator Badge that had its lightnings removed, it is still not comparing favorably to an original Deumer eagle. The area circled below is of particular concern. (There are other concerns as well.)

Hi guys,

No doubt about it, this one is a fake. I have several other fakes on file with the same scratch marks on the reverse, sure sign of a cast fake.
