Assmann PO double marked "A" and "L/64"

Hi friends, please take a look over this Assmann PO.
In my opinion it is an original (in all parts) 3rd pattern Assmann PO in zinc double marked with A and L/64.
Sadly it is repaired
What's your opinion? Are there any doubts that this one is no original?

Hi Michael,

I like it. No doubt an original Assmann badge, and textbook later war Assmann hardware. I also like the look of the gold and silver finish, correct for Assmann IMO.

It looks pristine, never been worn so its a little odd that it would have just fallen apart like this and require repair. I wonder if these were leftover parts that were found in the factory and put together after the war??

thank you very much for your input. I also don't have any doubts about the goldfinish of the wreath.
This badge was found from the family of the vet, who served at the Luftwaffe.
Sadly I don't have more info and so I can't say if this were leftover parts or the awarded badge of this soldier which was repaired after war.

Looks like gold paint on the pin, can you confirm that?

If so, that would be a bad sign IMO. Retouched P/O at best.

Hi Tim, you sure about that??

Paint on the pin would be quite consistent with late war Assmann badges, whether they be Pilot, P/Os or Paras, IMO. Here are just a few quick shots of some regular Pilot badges, all have the finish on the pin.
