    Little more tough Tim... I'd have to start pulling them out and holding at the angle to be sure but I'm going with GWL, repaired catch (period of course)

      Close Brian, I was opting for GWL as well, but you left out the fact that the badge also had the pilots initials scratched on the back

        I don't want to be a know it all. But between the two of us we've imparted the impossible.

        Now back at 'ya...

        Richard Czekay...

            Czekay's badge looks to be an early Assmann too!

            Here's a shot of Ehrler's badge. Jostermeister is correct!
            Bruder Schneider Wien.

            Once again, the left wingtip cutouts are a giveaway. Also notice the right wing central feathering and the top of the wreath.

            BTW, the pics and info of Beier and Bertram are from Obermeier.
            The Ehrler pic is from my collection.

              Seeing all three in a single shot helps confirm. The curve of the wings says it all for me. Cutouts could be so subjective.

                I'd even say Alu Assmann.

                Compared it to a few...

                  Why for you post Juncker?

                  That's more like it.

                    Tim, what do you know about Ehrler? I think I have a photo of him w/my guy Paepcke. Ehrler's in the photo but Ehrler was a fighter pilot and Paepcke flew JU88's.

                    Well you're out partying, or working...

                    Ehrler;
                    <TABLE style="WIDTH: 505px; HEIGHT: 386px" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=505 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD width="9%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>No</CENTER></TD><TD width="11%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>Date</CENTER></TD><TD width="6%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>Time</CENTER></TD><TD width="16%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>A/c Type</CENTER></TD><TD width="11%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>Unit</CENTER></TD><TD width="47%" bgColor=#c0c0c0 height=14><CENTER>Location</CENTER></TD></TR><TR><TD width="9%" height=14><CENTER>1.</CENTER></TD><TD width="11%" height=14>
                    V. 1940

                    </TD><TD width="6%" height=14><CENTER>-</CENTER></TD><TD width="16%" height=14>Blenheim</TD><TD width="11%" height=14>4./JG 77</TD><TD width="47%" height=14></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
                    Ehrler w/JG77 until his second kill.

                    Paepcke;
                    Kampfgeschwader 77
                    II. Gruppe
                    Gruppenkommandeure
                    Maj Heinrich Paepcke, ? - 17.10.42

                    But JG's are not KG's. As fighters are not a JU88A's. Interesting they were on the field at the same time and Ehrler's meeting Paepcke upon his arrival. It's the details! Anyway, thanks for the photo or I never would have made the connection.
