Has everyone checked out the Steinheur & Luck droop tail that Bill Shea presently has? Here's a link to it: Droop Tail. Is that one a cataloged version?

Yup,I guess these are very scarce...,so is the price..!
Heavy high quality....,like the Assmann..

Well,they're more scarce than a Juncker pilotbadge IMO ,so the price might be OK in it's range ,although $ 150.- should be a better price so I could take it....

I like it though but I've to confess I never saw a S&L before..

A new birdie flew in this week and joined my other drooptail. The new bird is on the top.

It's hinge and catch are a bit different, more like those of Jos. (maybe Assman, but the head shape from the reverse is the same as the S&L that Shea has). It is also a bit more vaulted than the lower eagle. This one, like my other, is unmarked.

Ok, Jos., he consented to a few close-ups. Blame the blemishes on the photographer and not on the eagle. Note in the last one the vaulting of the eagle in comparison to the other drooptail that I already had.

That's the truth, Jos. I stumbled upon the new one at a gunshop's website! I've always been a fan of the drooptails. Helmets and any other form. Now, I just need to get Mike Heuer to let go of the general's version.....
