    First a quote from FS....

"the rest is matter of opinions, you had in hands the badge posted by John - you don't like it and think it is a fake
I have the badge in hands - I like it and think it is original - there is no issue nor problem as I am only in charge of my collection -"

    Then another quote....

"Words of wisdom Lloyd, words of wisdom."

    Jack Torrence

I had the badge in hands and I was the one who started this thread to get opinions. I like the piece. I like the natural age to the piece, and the base metal appears to be tombak which I like also..the piece does have to me the characteristics of a Juncker.

I respect that everybody is entitled to an opinion and every contrary opinion to any issue greatly contributes to the knowledge with regard to that isssue.

I do not think an original screwback badge negates Tim C's logic. A screwback is easier to create then the catch, latch and pin. We have no set pattern of screwback material by manufacturer. Is it not therefore logical that it is indeed easier to create the fake? The existence of thirty original screwback Junckers does not make this any less logical. IMHO the pilot badge Tim C had in hand looks very suspect to me. With our without screwback.

But, again, had I bent to peer pressure that Condor Legion Tank Badge would be gracing the bottom of a cesspool...

For information, H. Weitze (# 2991) is selling a screwback observer badge where, I can be wrong as the pics are small, but for the moment this "could" enforce the fact that Juncker also made factory screwback badges.
