GWL Pilot Badge vs Juncker Pilot Badge

gwl I bet if a mint juncker and gwl went up for sale at the same time on e stand the GWL would sell 1st. The frostiness on the mint examples is what gets me. ICE!

GWL badges might have superb finish to those who like bling-bling, but the eagle and wreath are a charicatur ..
Juncker eagles have, like said, personality and they look rather realistic IMO, besides that a mint Juncker PO does have a lot of frosting, but unfortunately we don't see them that much in that condition.

Badges I like are Juncker, Deumer, Assmann, B&NL ...
Badges I don't like that much are GWL, FLL, OM and BSW..
This has all to do with design, not quality.

So, to compare GWL vs Juncker I'd say :

Accually I had to choose between these two a couple a years ago and I bought the J3. A tombak J3 badge is still a very nice looking badge and one of the best looking in my opinion even if the J1 is the holy grail of pilot badges.

While I don't place a lot of emphasis on badge weights unless they start getting way out of wack, the average of the 4 GWL pilot's badges I own is 44.9 grams. They vary from the worn example at 44.3 to the mint example at 45.1. The GWL PO comes in above the average weighing 49.0.

Man .. that is one sweet PO Larry If I was ever to have one, one like that example would be my choice
