Was this arrow day fighter style ..ever really used ..or is it totally fake.? Ive also never seen this style of manufacture on any of these clasps. The originals always seen all seem typical , but i do understand they made originals with a round pins also(is that correct).

Anybody know for sure anything more on this soldered points issue, or is it covered in any books you may reccomend. I think its important to expose the good and the bad variations for future forum references. I am assuming no one else has ever seen this type other than leroy.

Leroy : (if you happen back on this thread)..Does this one look typical to match the ones you consider fakes you have seen with points on the back? You have good judgement , im interested in your opinions..It doesnt matter to me if its deemed fake or not , someone has to know somewhere what the real story is on these pointy fluted pieces, i just cant figure out why they might be there except to reinforce . These are the only 2 pieces ive ever seen made like this, and felt it needed broached as a subject regardless.

Question to the luft photo collector guys :does anyone have a photo of one being worn in period W/ this style arrow on the front (ive never seen one yet)? Thanks again.
By the way tim ....i should have placed a warning to view after dinner, and not before. Sorry...

There are NO original clasps which used this style arrow or the back support structure shown. I feel absolutely comfortable saying: Fantasy!

Can only agree with the others, a well reinforced piece of "garbadge".

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
