      Can we declare any medal original or reproduction because it looks new? I have medals produced in the 1930's that look brand new. Could the Grinch have stolen it and squirreled it away for over 60 years?

        Bill;

        Let me be clear, I wasn't commenting on originality.
        Best regards,

                    It looks like a nice postwar Souval that's been kept in the ground to accumulate some nice rust.
                    So that the seller can add his bullsh*t story.

                        Using acid and a moisty ground will do alot of damage I think.

                            Did anyone notice the Balloon badges on the Wolfe-Hardin tables at the SOS?

                            (I wasn't there, but I saw the pix and I saw these badges in person on their tables at the MAX in 1999).

                            I don't believe in Balloon badges either.

                            Do you think they do??

                            They generally have good high-end stuff, with the prices to match.

                            Any opinions on this?

                              Hi Guys,

                              I'm new to the forum, but I would like to put in my two cents worth. I collect mini badge stickpins, and oddly enough, I actually have a balloon observers mini badge. My opinion is that the badge was made at some point during the war. The definition on the badge is good (but not too good). Thats all I have for now. I can't attach photos yet, but would be more than happy to if someone wants to post them.
