An original B&NL in my opinion. The catch looks odd, it may be a replacement and the obverse wreath may have been polished, I don't see many signs of the original darkened artifical oxidation layer.
TomIf it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a littleNew Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II

Thanks a lot for comments! I would better pass on it and save money for the badge in better condition with no odds.

Sorry for being late, but are you sure it is not a Tombak eagle? B&NL Paras come with both tombak eagles and zinc eagles, both on a zinc wreath. The badge you show looks like it could be a tombak eagle with tombak rivets, and I think the tombak eagle is more desirable.
I could be mistaken and probably no way to be sure from the pictures, but something we need to be aware of when looking for a B&NL Para badge.Visit my Badge Collection: http://lbmilitaria.homestead.com/home.html
