An original B&NL in my opinion. The catch looks odd, it may be a replacement and the obverse wreath may have been polished, I don't see many signs of the original darkened artifical oxidation layer.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Are the edges sharp as a knife?

Most aspects look good to me. The catch might be odd; not sure.
If the wreath had been polished, wouldn't we see some of the original applied oxidation in the recesses close to the eagle?

Thanks a lot for comments! I would better pass on it and save money for the badge in better condition with no odds.

Sorry for being late, but are you sure it is not a Tombak eagle? B&NL Paras come with both tombak eagles and zinc eagles, both on a zinc wreath. The badge you show looks like it could be a tombak eagle with tombak rivets, and I think the tombak eagle is more desirable.

I could be mistaken and probably no way to be sure from the pictures, but something we need to be aware of when looking for a B&NL Para badge.

Hello Lorenzo! This badge is listed in dealer's catalogue as zinc made, may be he was wrong with item description.

                    Cheers,
                    Pimpf

Zinc B&NL with a replaced catch and a refinished eagle IMHO
