Droop Tail Eagle Spanish Cross

I guess I am entitled to my little thee-o-ree too. The design in the NoK etui depicts a droop-tailed eagle. The award itself didn't have a droop-tailed eagle. In that time period (months) alone, between 'cover art' design and award production, the droop-tail was aborted. I'm not aware it resurfaces during the course of the war.

Why did the fakers use it, because they were dumb, I guess. Some fakes and some fakers are betteer than others. If someone sends me a 'blank' droop-tailed eagle, I will chisel in the cross hatching myself and do a better job than the SK posted.

In the copy I posted, the breast details have been intentionally buffed or polished away, so I suppose someone realized they needed work!

You are correct about that. Maybe they were trying to give the eagles the 'field worn eagle's chest' look?
