Nice
Looks like a nice badge to me.
I really like the big chunky wreaths on the Juncker pattern 3's.

Hi Dan,
sorry but I don't be so sure as our friends at ones, rivets, wingtips and catch ( I think replaced ), hinge a bit too high are points that in other threads have follow down badges.
sure personally I cannot give to you my opinion because these photos change a bit the impression of this badge. would be more help better photos that give to the badge natural colours and image of it, as Philippe's images.

Thanks Ivan. I didn't want you to think I was being lazy in asking opinions without doing some ground work myself. In the massive scope of Third Reich collecting, metal badges are not my strongest subject.Sleeve shields are my forte so when you step out of your field, mistakes are easily made!! So I have noted most of the things in Junckers and bought from reputable dealers. This came from Malcolm Bowers of M and T militaria. No bargains and can be expensive but he is the only UK dealer I have heard constant good things about and someone who does know his stuff. Forget Fisher in Regimentals, Ulric of England and "Flatken militaria". Yes he's back on the scene!! When I received the badge this morning my gut feeling was "it's a real 'un". But always good to double check as I didn't pay peanuts for it!

Dan,
you had better do us some angled shots of the catch so that we can see the soldering as I think Neil may be right about it being replaced.
A side view of the hinge may also be a good idea as my friend Ivan says that also may be repaired.
What was the price point on this when I may ask?
