    [QUOTE=mmiller;2020085]Hi Stan,

    Any chance you could post front and back images of both NSFK badges, and especially the Pilot/ Observer Badge?

    Thanks Much,

    Niall,

    I think that this request from Mark is for you.

        I have to aggree with Bob. I feel that these like other rare pieces were produced before the Wars end. If they were awarded is another matter. Having some of the pieces from David Littlejohns collection and his purchase ledger, thse pieces were around before repros were being produced. But again you believe what you want to believe.

          I have to agree with Bob and Warlord on this. I, too, rmember seeing believable examples of the basic Lutwaffe Tank Badge long before there good quality repros being cranked out...Tom

            The only actual documented thing on these I have ever seen was a grouping a friend of mine had obtained from the veteran's widow. He was in the Luftwaffe and the Soldbuch showed the entry for the award. However the award he was given (also in the grouping) was the standard tank badge.

              I have also seen a very nice Soldbuch with the award in it, but I have less faith than others in the production of these awards. Some, like Warlord, have certainly handled the cream of the crop and some rare birds, but these, along with Baloon Badges, Luftwaffe Sea Badges, etc. are not for my collection.

                hi Mark

                I don't think that P/O is a good one. The eagle head is very strange....looks like an old fake.

                  FLACK88 puts it very well. These strange pieces have to be seen in hand. The chances are very limmited. The greatest has just happend on the forum. This confirms Bills thinking on the Balloon badge, but also gives provinance to Dr K and his statement that 100 aprox were were produced befor the end of the war. GREAT EXCITMENT.

                    Chris,
                    If that's the case then we are due for a balloon badge sighting anytime now.

                      Hi Indy,

                      I think the P/O is the fake 'wedgie' type. Also, I'm skeptical of the NSFK badges.

                      I can't believe we are reopening the grave of the Luft Panzer Badge. I thought that case was dead and buried. I guess some folks are seeing ghosts. To anyone owning one..... good luck selling. To anyone contemplating buying..... well, it's your money! I 100% agree with Marc as to non-wartime production, let alone issue.

                      Regards,
                      Mark
