IMME & Sohn Operator/Air Gunner Badge, good?

Hello, Gentlemen,
Could anyone help me determine this badge's authenticity? By all rights it looks to be made from Juncker components. Did the IMME firm go back that far to the pre-war period? Would really appreciate the help.

Hi Robert,
Looks like a Good JMME to me.
We know they used the Juncker components, so that wouldn't worry me at all. I don't know how far back you refer to, but I know JMME was an early maker. I believe they marked their earliest pieces ( prewar )with just IMME.
I wish you had a better shot of the maker mark though!

I appreciate the help with this badge. I thought it looked real good too. Good to hear others give it the thumbs up. I had planned on buying it from Weitze but, bought a Juncker Pilot instead. This is really an outstanding buy at just 325 Euro from him. I just wrote him and told him to remove my hold on it. So it's up for grabs again.

sure this badge is an original one and I like it very much and its patina too, classic Jmme's patina, even the photo is not clear.

In this case Jmme hasn't take Juncker components because for example eagle is different in many important parts and is probably that in the period Jmme has made this badge, Juncker made the thin wreath type.

This is something for me to remember. So JMME made their own badges seperate from using Juncker parts in the beginning? I have not heard this before. Not a problem for me, I have never learned much about the JMME badges as I have the others. I have an 'IMME' marked pilot badge. It undoubtedly is constructed from genuine Juncker components ( 2nd pattern ). Was this the firm's early maker mark, or was 'JMME' the early mark? I have also seen, as this badge, 'JMME & SOHN, BERLIN'. Can you shed some light to this?

....I have not informations when exactly Jmme begin to made airgunner but sure Juncker was one of first firms made it with marked CEJ, thin wreath.

following is my Juncker early type with thin wreath above ( but marked Juncker, not CEJ - even if someone call it 1st pattern - usually I call it 2nd pattern because first is marked CEJ ) and my Jmme & Sohn, Berlin early made. As you can see, they are differents in style, die and metal too.

Here's some larger PICS of the Juncker RO/AG as requested, though I am not sure what you meant by--right side?

This is a thinner wreath and lighter badge (believe Detlev called it a type 3). I do not see the recessed areas in the wreath under the wings, unless I'm missing something.

Weighs only 23.7 grams--9.8 grams lighter than the JMME&Sohn pictured with it above.
