        Hi Tom,

You will have to return that one, just nothing about it compares to an original BSW RO/AG. Not even the design.
        Cheers, Frank

Looks like a casting of an Imme to me.
Hardwares pretty well done. If you do a closeup of the BSW stamp it will probably been the known copy one.

Check this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&highlight=bsw for an excellent comparison of this maker mark by Lorenzo . Definetly one for the files. PS-I have seen this badge before, an unlikely source for a fake.

Good to hear that the seller is a stand up guy and willing to refund your cash. Was probably not cheap when it came from a dealer.

and this is what you should look for if you buy a BSW RO/AG. BSW design eagle, BSW design wreath and original BSW mark.

                        Tom,

Here is another BSW to compare.

                        Frank,

I noticed the pen tip under the badge you posted. Obviously to keep the badge flat for a sharp focus. My image doesn't have the pen, and sure enuf, the heavy wings of the eagle are making the badge lay 'out of focus.

                        Regards,
                        Mark

Yes, absolutely necessary to get a pure, frontal scan of a RO/AG badge. I usually edit the pen out afterwards! But only when I have enough time in between dyeing OM pilot badge photos to make them appear to be P/Os!
                          Cheers, Frank

You guys may laugh, but some of these badges are real hell to take pictures of them. You don't even want to know what i'm doing sometimes to cheat on the gravity laws!...
