Nope, my Juncker is not cut out. I also have an early petite CEJ marked Pilot Abz. It's not cut-out either. You are lucky that yours is.

The CEJ marked badge is not Tombak, but nickel-silver. This makes me wonder if the first Juncker Pilot, Pilot Observer Badges and even Observer Badges, the ones marked CEJ, are all nickel silver? Then would be the transition to Juncker marked badges, which are Tombak. Just a little theory. I guess we'd need more examples to make judgement.

Let's se more of these early birds. Very nice examples are posted. But my theory may already be invalid, since we have examples of nickel-silver badges both with CEJ and C.E.JUNCKER makermarks. I still believe the CEJs are the earliest. Doesn't the First Model Aircrew badge have the CEJ mark? And was't that early badge around 33 or 34?
