    Luftwaffe Paratrooper badge

    I bought this badge a long while back as a 1957 paratrooper badge. I suspect that it's a denazified fake. I came to this conclusion due to the way the eagle is attached to the wreath. Just want to hear what the experts think.

      Yes, you are correct. Usually they are stamped "L/58." Here is one a FJ veteran gave me. He bought it in the late '40s in Germany, after he was released from various POW camps in the US and England, to replace his which was taken from him.

            Yes it,s a WW2 fake with the swastika removed , i,ve never seen this type of eagle on a 1957 award .

              Yes, what gives it away is the eagle's claws cliped off, so I reconed that it had the swastika and was broken off !! And the back pins are nothing like any WWII or 1957 issue.
