        please help

Would one of the experts please give an opinion on this piece.
The Cut out wing seems to differ from others i've seen, is it a variation or due to the lateness of manufacture..??

Thank you, with a cherry on the top
        Warmest Regards ... John

              Different!

              Hi John,

Not what I'd call a textbook BSW Pilot's Badge! The wreath is totally different to what I am used to, also the cut-outs on the eagle's obverse right wing tip are very well defined (quite serrated) whereas on this maker I'm used to seeing the edge or the wing relatively blunt (as on Rick's example if you can make it out). It's not a badge I can buy but maybe Lorenzo or Tim C can made some more useful observations.

              Regards
              Mike K
              Regards
              Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

                Hi John and Mike,

I am not so sure about this. At least, Lorenzo´s BSW has the exact same cutout on the wingtip. It seems BSW had different types of wingtip cutouts (blunt and elaborated) at different times.

John, could you show a closeup of the eagle´s head area? It is the only part that seems to be really different from Lorenzo´s example.

                Cheers, Frank H.
                Cheers, Frank

In would also like to know (since I missed to make a note in my pic archives) who posted this BSW picture? I also have a question connected with it.
                  Cheers, Frank

You talkin to me??? Here is a scan of my BSW Pilot badge. I can't really offer any comments regarding BSW pilot badges because I have seen various types and markings on them, and I have never studied them that closely. The one I show here came from Detlev with a COA...that's about all I can offer on on it. I have no problem with it....but I have no problems or comments on Rich's badge either.

The badge you have posted is mine. What is your question?

I've seen too many "variations" of BSW's. I don't trust any of them except for the style posted by Lorenzo, which I've seen with and without the little bridge between the claw and swasi (like RG's).

Thanks to one and all. It has been an education.
Having the comparisons has helped a lot. Now I can see that even the rounded shoulders of the swaz' let it down.
                              decision made..

                              Regards... John
