    Fleet badge R.S.&S.

    Hello
can I have some opinions on this one? I've been offered it like original but I have some doubts, hinge (round plate soldered and not part of the badge) and pin are not so convincing, the talons of the eagle have a clear flaw, I don't like it but wait for more opinions...
    Thanks in advance
    Cesare

The photos are too poor to be definitive, but it does not look promising so far. For one thing, the finish is incorrect, and obverse detail is poor (at least on these blurry photos). It would be unwise to buy this badge based upon these images alone.

        Best regards,

The finish is of concern. Like Norm said, much better images of your badge needed due to high quality fakes of it.

This is a fake. Wrong finish, wrong crimps. Stiriations on right lower parts on the reverse which are typical for one of known fakes.
            Cheers,
            Hubert

A brightened rotated view showing the scratches Hubert was speaking of, typical for the Staegemeir-like fakes shown in this thread.

                  Best regards,
