U-boat badge for review

Hi,

Was wondering what you guys think of this badge?
I think it looks just fine, but im not very experienced with these things and i have seen that this forum, with it`s members, can be a excellent resource when it comes to spotting fakes.

Have no reason to doubt the seller at all, but i think it is a nice routine to have,- to put it out for review anyway, just to get some more input.

There are very good Staegemeir fakes of RS U-boats with this type of maker's mark but IMO this one is honest wartime original bade

I agree with Hubert, a "real" Souval, UC# 5.7.1 in the comprehensive U-Boat classification system.

This is the less common variant (if you ignore the common Staegemeir fake), and somewhat less successful I think. They usually show defects in production and I suspect they were one of Souval's early experiments in cast badges (like the Souval Destroyer). Often the catch is broken off like in Tom Y.'s example in this thread:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this piece. I just went all-in and bought it, so lets hope i didn`t make a mistake :-) I have done some research myself too, and i feel pretty safe.
