    Interesting:-). Nice that this badge poor condition can be used(Svastica removed) and provide some info for the Deumer timeline. Not every day, that I change the militaria badge history ;-)

      Hi guys,

      Looks Tombak to me as well. And I think the weight of 25.1 grams is more in line with Deumer's tombak examples rather than their zinc ones which tend to be a little heavier if I am not mistaken.

      I wonder if Huberts and the few others could be tombak too now that we have made this little discovery rather than well-preserved zinkers as previously assumed? If that is the case then I think Norm's placement in the timeline between 1 and 2 is most likely correct.

        I just came across an old thread that I had completely forgotten from 2010 discussing this same type of badge and already suggesting Tombak at that time. The memory is going...
