Hi NBolinger,

Looks like a typical "wartime-compatible" Souval and the finish has been messed with post-war -- either incompletely finished by Souval or perhaps refinished and then partially denuded again?

To me, the remnants of the gold wash look very much like the finish discussed in this thread:
