Here are examples of how Rösing signed official documents during wartime. Note the lack of the first initial "H" and the different top on the final "g". I think we're seeing the differences here between his wartime and much later post-war signing styles.

It appears that the more common awards like the EK2 and U-Boat badge used a standard stamp of his signature whereas the EK1 warranted a personal signature (in the same style).
