I'd like to know more about these items as well so am bringing this thread back up. Does anyone specialize in these?

      Regards,

        Hi Guys,

I can't comment on the pin on the left, but the Westwerft Leistungsabzeichen on the right is slightly different from the ones discussed in the pinned thread:
        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=654348
So far, only one type of Tombak version and one type of zinc version have been posted with provenance of sorts as described in that thread.

Aside from the different pin, the one here has poorer detail around the eagle and swastika. Also it seems to have some residual gilding, and I had never (yet) heard that these were meant to be gilded?

Without anything more to go on, this one joins the list of unverified products for which it's buyer beware, but fine to own if it wasn't expensive and you're not worried about resale value.

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

it also lacks the sheering marks on the reverse between the deck gun and the conning tower attributed to originals. Another warning.
