Reading through Torpedo Los book I saw it's written that Aurich KA badges are not usual to be found with the finish, so I wanted to show my zinc beauty.

The similarity to the "LM" Minesweeper is truly remarkable. As has been noted before, there really must be a link between these two badges that still needs to be clarified -- either contracted from a common source or one of these two companies supplied to the other.
The connection of the maker mark on the Coastal Artillery is verified as the Hermann Aurich logo, while the LM logo is only supposed but not yet proven to be Lind & Meyrer. But just as Schwerin's 2nd pattern U-Boat clasp seems to have been contracted out to Gablonz, so could there be an as of yet unidentified maker who supplied both HA and LM.
Best regards,
