Fake vs. Original Aurich Küstenartillerie ( Coastal )

Hi,

I am working on a trade and have been offered these two badges.
Since I am a camo collector , I have little knowledge of these.
According to the pinned fake galleries, these look OK to me.

Could you provide me with your opinions please ?

Hi Alex,
Hard to say from these pictures. It would be easier if somebody posted Hero's fake to compare. I know he did these CABs but not of such quality I belive?

I enclose my CAB for comparison and it is original

The only thing I do not like in werner's badge is the finish - It is unusual to see such nice gilt on the wreath and completely no finish on the gun and on the reverse... On the reverse there is even no silver undercoat there not mentioning the gilt.

I agree with Alex K. It looks like a high quality Staegemeier copy to me. Excellent detail but wrong colour, finish, tooling marks on the pin and colour of the hardware. I'm suspicious of this one.

Here are a couple of other Staegemeiers in this thread, showing some variety in his output. I think he's been lightening that fake finish of his, perhaps in response to comments on the forums?

Hi guys,

As said on the estand, this is a Staegemeir fake. Typical is that he still fails to make a decent crimp for the set up. Also the finish is not the same and you'll notice that the base material isn't really zink, but a more heavy substance.
