Hi Torsten,
I do not think that this is an original HA Coastal Artillery award.
It looks like myself and Norm were posting at the same time and i agree with him that this one looks like a Staegemeir fake.The finish looks typical of that seen on the KM fakes he is putting out now.

I agree. The badge that started this thread is a fake for sure and definitely the work of Staegemeir. It is made of that same mysterious modern alloy that all of his crappy cast fakes are made of. It looks nothing like zinc.
The example posted by Hubert is a nice original.
Here is another original example for comparison purposes. This badge is 54.26mm high x 41.62mm wide and weighs 23.1 grams.

Could you please post here the dimensions and weight of your Staegemeir copy for reference, and to compare to Tom' original?
