    Aurich Coastal Artillery

I do like the look of this badge a lot, but not being an expert at these, I would like to ask the opinion of those that are ... what do you think? Cheers, Torsten.

Sorry Torsten. It's very pretty but it's a high end reproduction by Staegemeir.

          Best regards,
          ---Norm

            Hi Torsten,

I do not think that this is an original HA Coastal Artillery award.

It looks like myself and Norm were posting at the same time and i agree with him that this one looks like a Staegemeir fake. The finish looks typical of that seen on the KM fakes he is putting out now.

            Regards,Martin.

                Hi Torsten,
Agree with Norm and Martin - most likely it is Hero's fake
Here is IMO original example for comparison.
                Cheers,
                Hubert

                      Barffegnugen!

I agree. The badge that started this thread is a fake for sure and definitely the work of Staegemeir. It is made of that same mysterious modern alloy that all of his crappy cast fakes are made of. It looks nothing like zinc.

The example posted by Hubert is a nice original.

Here is another original example for comparison purposes. This badge is 54.26mm high x 41.62mm wide and weighs 23.1 grams.

                      Best regards,
                      Tom

                              Hi Torsten,

Could you please post here the dimensions and weight of your Staegemeir copy for reference, and to compare to Tom' original?

                              Thanks.
