      I believe Mike has said it all. Sadly it is getting quite common to find the wreath on Schwerin 2nd e-boat refinished these days. For me, although better than a fake, refinishing ruins it.

        I agree with Lorenzo that the wreath is refinished on this original badge. I would even go further and say that boat and waves are also refinished (the only original finish being on the reverse).
        While there are some colour variations in the finishes on Schwerin 2nd type e-boats, there just are no silver coloured waves to my experience and knowledge.
